Craig Moore - ORSA 2023

Former Rangers Skipper Craig Moore coming to ORSA Bangkok 2023

In a 12-year Rangers career between signing from Australia’s prestigious sports academy in 1993, to making his debut in 94 and captaining the light blues from January 2003 to July 2004 (with a brief sojourn in London in between) CRAIG MOORE is a true Rangers Legend.

Playing over 250 games, scoring 19 goals, his reputation as a rugged, no-nonsense centre back was well founded. Yet he played “Hard but Fair”  only being red carded 5 times in his entire Rangers career. His passion for Old Firm games saw him play against our great rivals on 25 occasions; and be booked against them 10 times. Clearly this was a fixture Craig - like all of us - absolutely relished.

Managed by Walter Smith, Dick Advocaat and Alex McLeish, Craig played alongside Rangers royalty such as Klos, Gough, Coisty, Hately, Goram, Gazza, Amoruso and Laudrup and with 12 major Rangers honors including the TREBLE in 2002/2003, Craig will be very welcome in Bangkok during our July festivities.

Craig’s continued involvement in football allows him the platform to tell us not just about past players, stories, and glories, but how he views the future with Michael Beale and the current Rangers squad.

Join Craig, and other Rangers legends at your ORSA convention in Bangkok between 5th and 9th July 2023.

Colin Stein - ORSA 2023

Bangkok Bears are proud to announce our second legend joining us for our ORSA Thailand convention from 5th to 9th July this year. Joining Stuart Munro will be the living legend that is …COLIN STEIN.

Legend is a word that gets thrown around far too easily in football, but there’s no question that Colin Stein deserves that description. He wrote himself into the Rangers history books, not once but twice. In 1972, Stein scored one of the goals as the Light Blues beat Dynamo Moscow 3-2 to win the European Cup Winners Cup. And three years later, in 1975, his goal in a 1-1 draw against Hibernian at Easter Road, was enough to secure Rangers’ first league title in nine years.

Stein joined Rangers from Hibs in October 1968 for £100,000, a then record transfer between Scottish clubs. He made an instant impact, scoring eight goals in his first three games, and quickly established himself as a key player – and a huge fan favourite. At a time when Rangers were struggling on the pitch, the Ibrox faithful loved his all-action playing style, his passion and commitment and, of course, his goals.

When the good times returned, Stein played an important role. During the glorious European Cup Winners' Cup campaign of 1972, he bagged four crucial goals against Sporting Lisbon, when the teams drew 6-6 on aggregate and in the final, his clinical finish in the 23rd minute set Rangers on their way to a historic victory at the Camp Nou, ensuring legendary status for him and the rest of the Barca Bears.

He earned 21 caps for Scotland, scoring nine goals, including four in one game against Cyprus in 1969. But it was at Rangers that he shone brightest of all, playing a pivotal role in some of the club’s most memorable moments. With well over 200 Rangers appearances and over 100 Rangers goals… Colin can share a player’s perspective on some of Glasgow Rangers finest moments.

Stuart Munro - ORSA 2023

Bangkok Bears, the proud host of ORSA 2023 is delighted to start to announce some of the legends who will join us during our convention between 5th and 9th July 2023.

Our first legend is none other than STUART MUNRO.

Signed from Alloa Athletic by Jock Wallace, and making his debut in February 1984, little could Stuart have known he would have a front row seat to the most tumultuous period of change ever witnessed in Scottish Football.

Over the next 6 seasons  Stuart would make over 300 appearances for the Light Blues and score 3 goals helping Rangers to 4 League Championships (1987, 1989, 1990 and 1991), 4 league Cups (1987, 1988, 1989, 1991) and of course setting us on our way to 9 in a row.

Stuart had a front row seat as Graeme Souness and Walter Smith revolutionised Scottish football by bringing in English and World class talent in almost every position … except the full back berth that Stuart had made his own.

Stuart enjoyed Champions League (European Cup) football with Rangers playing the likes of Valetta, Red Star, Bayern Munich and Steaua Bucharest as well as Europa League (UEFA Cup) action against Boavista, Borussia Monchengladbach, Osasuna and Inter Milan.

One of our own… with many high-quality stories to share...Bangkok is delighted that Stuart will join us for the Bangkok ORSA 2023 convention.
